Light signal cross for closing the airport runway has been successfully tested at Kunovice airport

We have successfully tested our portable light signal cross, designed to close the airport runway, at Kunovice Airport. The tests were in progress from an aircraft, examining the device visibility from different distances.

Tested distances:

• 4.2 km (2.3 NM)
• 2.7 km (1.5 NM)
• 1.5 km (0.8 NM)
• 0.7 km (0.4 NM)

The first flight was performed at a distance of 4.2 km from the light signal cross. Already at this distance, the device was clearly recognizable thanks to its high illuminating power. Then we continued on shorter distances - 2.7 km, 1.5 km and finally on 700 m.

The light signal cross is mounted on a trailer, making its quick and easy transportation to any location. Its sophisticated design makes it possible to assemble or disassemble it in one minute, even by a single person. It is equipped with 13 LED lights that automatically adjust the cross brightness for day and night operation.
