Separation of metals from cooling emulsion on machine tools (case study)

Filtration objective:

• Extension of the coolant life -> lower coolant costs.
• Increase in machining quality.
• Extension of the machine tool life.

Solution:

• After the application of the magnetic fi lter the coolant change interval was prolonged by 27 %, the quality of the machined parts increased and the tool grinding costs were signifi cantly reduced.
