Cleaning of the Magnetic Sweeper for Airports

Our magnetic sweeper is equipped with an easy cleaning system of trapped dirt. Cleaning the broom is a matter of seconds!

The advantage is that you choose the FOD Box from the optional equipment. A sweeper equipped with this box not only has better aerodynamic properties and pressing force (useful at higher speeds when traveling between surfaces to be cleaned), but in particular, it will speed up cleaning. The box which is placed in the upper part of the device during operation, can be easily removed and placed under the magnetic sweeper. When cleaning, all the metals fall into this box. You can easily dump them into the designated container. This eliminates the need to pick up (sweep) metals from the ground after demagnetization.

Even Faster and More Comfortable Cleaning?

Magnetic sweepers can be equipped with the EasyDemag module, which allows quick and easy demagnetization of the sweeper and release of trapped metal contaminants. This module substantially simplifies and speeds up the work. The electric demagnetization mechanism is powered by a battery located on the sweeper drawbar. There are two control options available:

  • Remote control demagnetization - allows you to clean the sweeper directly from the vehicle. It is very comfortable and fast.
  • Control via the broom buttons

Magnetic sweeper for different surfaces

The magnetic sweeper is height adjustable from 30 to 130 mm, which allows operation even on uneven surfaces such as panel roads (the broom can also pick up metals from gaps between panels), grassy surfaces, or gravel surfaces. The height adjustment is also appreciated at the airport where the magnetic sweeper must have sufficient clearance when crossing between runways on service roads.



Magnetic brooms are fitted with permanent ferrite magnets as standard, but on request, we can also fit them with very strong neodymium magnets. Due to the permanent magnets used, no power supply is required for the separation function of the sweeper.

Connection and Power Supply of the Airport Magnetic Broom

The magnetic sweeper is equipped with a removable and adjustable pulling device. The sweeper can thus be attached to the towing device of a car, tractor, brushing machine, or other equipment. Installation is thus very easy and its use is universal.

The power supply for the electrical components and lighting is from the towing vehicle - usually a 12 V, 7-pin socket. We will manufacture the sweeper to be adapted to the power supply of the towing vehicle.

Transport mode

It consists of 3 trolleys hanging side by side. All three modules can be coupled together, reducing the width of the entire sweeper to slightly more than 3 m for transport between runways on narrow service roads. This makes handling significantly easier and the application more versatile.
