Holding electromagnets
Holding electromagnets - are used in a wide range of applications. Holding electromagnets are most often used in the following fields:
- Industrial automation
- Industrial robots and manipulators
- Security systems
Using holding electromagnets speeds up processes, simplifies handling, and significantly increases work efficiency.
Holding electromagnets consist of a coil and a metal core. When an electric current passes through the coil winding, a magnetic field is created, which is used to hold objects from ferromagnetic materials. In the resting state, holding electromagnets do not magnetize.
Holding electromagnets have a great adhesive force - a 300-gram electromagnet can carry 76 kg!
What negatively affects the adhesive force of an electromagnet?
- Vzduchová mezera
- Drsnost styčných ploch
- Nežádoucí materiálové příměsi v manipulovaném předmětu (uhlík, měď, mangan,...)
