JACKAL is in action! Strong, lightweight and immediately available! (case study)
Initial status
The customer is engaged in construction debris recycling.
Problem
During recycling, the demolition waste is crushed to the desired size. After its crushing, the separation of tramp iron (= steel reinforcement bars) is needed. Construction debris is transported from the crusher by conveyor. A very strong and at the same time lightweight separator was needed.
Another customer requirement was a short delivery date.
Solution
We suggested that an overband magnet is suspended above the conveyor.
To meet the requirements for high magnetic strength and minimum weight, we have fitted the overband magnet with very strong neodymium magnets. These generate an extremely strong magnetic field, which enables to use less magnets and reduce the separator weight to a minimum. For this reason, our overband magnets are often installed onto mobile shredders.
The customer appreciated the fast availability of this magnetic separator.
